🚀 The First Step: Launching My Private Practice…and why it feels a lot like starting therapy

🗓 Coming this September…

I'm starting my own private therapy practice. Cue the excitement! Also cue the nerves, the overthinking, and wondering if my therapeutic space needs more plants (probably yes).

Like therapy itself, this beginning feels big, brave, and slightly surreal. It’s a leap into the unknown - but it’s also the most aligned thing I've ever done.

🌈 A Space Built on Authenticity

I'm autistic, and that’s not just a footnote - it’s part of how I show up as a therapist.

In my practice, I value:

  • 🧠 Clear communication (no need to decode vague metaphors)

  • 🪑 Sensory-considerate spaces (soft lighting, comfy chairs, no perfume overload)

  • 🛑 No pressure to “mask” or perform emotions

  • 🫱 Radical acceptance, especially of neurodivergent experiences

🎢 Therapy Isn’t Always Straightforward

Taking that first step into therapy can feel confusing or even intimidating.

Common thoughts people have:

  • “Is this the right fit for me?”

  • “Will I need to talk about feelings I haven’t even named yet?”

  • “Can I just come as I am, no filters?”

In short: YES. You can come as you are. Bring your whole self - the tender bits, the quirky bits, even the ones you usually reserve for talking to your pets. I’ll meet you there.

🪄 What Happens in Therapy?

Magic. Not the “abracadabra” kind, but the kind that happens when:

  • You feel understood without needing to explain everything

  • You’re gently challenged, not judged

  • You discover new ways to live, relate, and just… be

Therapy with me means showing up as your full self, in your own time, and building something meaningful together.

☕ The Invitation

So whether you're:

  • Neurodivergent and tired of trying to “pass” as neurotypical

  • Thinking about therapy and unsure where to start

  • Someone who needs a space to just breathe and be

…this practice is being created with you in mind.

I’ll have tea (or your preferred beverage), comfy chairs, and a lot of empathy - not the fluffy kind, but the sturdy, grounded kind that holds space without rushing your process.

🧭 Let’s Take That Step

You don’t have to have it all figured out. You just have to show up. I’ll be right there with you.

Ready when you are.
