Terms & Conditions
Natalie Wintle Therapy – Version 1.0
These Terms and Conditions set out how I work, what you can expect from therapy, and how we’ll handle practical matters like fees, communication, privacy, and cancellations.
By booking a session, you agree to these terms - but if anything feels confusing or uncomfortable, just ask. This is a collaborative space.
1. 💬 Therapy Style
I offer person-centred counselling, tailored to your individual needs. This means:
-
You lead the pace, content, and direction
-
Sessions are collaborative, not directive
-
Creative tools may be offered (e.g. writing, metaphors, visual aids)
-
Neurodivergent needs are honoured and adjustments are always welcome
Therapy may involve exploration of difficult emotions. I aim to create a space of safety, acceptance, and support.
2. 📍 Format & Location
I offer therapy:
-
Online via secure video platform
-
By phone, if preferred
We’ll discuss your preferences before beginning and revisit as needed.
3. 🧾 Fees & Payment
-
Sessions cost £75, payable in advance
-
Payment confirms your booking and reserves the time
-
Bank transfer details provided upon booking
-
Reduced rates are available for students or those with limited income - please ask.
4. ⏰ Cancellation & Missed Sessions
-
Please give at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule
-
Short-notice cancellations (under 24 hours) may still be charged
-
I understand that life is unpredictable and will always aim to respond with empathy - just let me know as soon as you can.
5. 🔐 Confidentiality
Everything you share in therapy is confidential unless:
-
You’re at risk of serious harm to yourself or others
-
A child or vulnerable adult is at risk
-
I’m legally required to share information (e.g. court order)
I discuss aspects of my work in professional supervision (a BACP requirement), but never in ways that could identify you.
6. 🛡️ Safeguarding
Your wellbeing is my priority. If I believe you or someone else is at significant risk, I may need to share limited information with safeguarding services - but I will explain this clearly and involve you whenever possible.
We’ll talk about consent, autonomy, and options before taking action.
7. 📬 Communication
-
You can contact me by email: nataliewintletherapy@outlook.com
-
I aim to respond within 48 hours (excluding weekends/holidays)
-
Therapy-related discussions usually happen in session, not over email
8. 📆 Attendance & Timekeeping
-
Sessions last 50 minutes, unless agreed otherwise
-
Your session time is set aside just for you. If you arrive late, I’ll still honour the remaining time—but the session will end as originally scheduled.
-
If you’re more than 15 minutes late, I may need to reschedule so we can give the work the time and care it deserves. I understand that things come up, and I’ll always aim to respond with empathy and flexibility where possible
-
Starting on time helps us make the most of your space
-
Repeated missed sessions may affect our ongoing work, and I will check in with care before making any changes.
9. 📄 Data Protection
Your personal information is held securely and used only in line with UK GDPR. You have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your data. For more, see my Privacy Policy.
My Information Commissioner's Office Data Protection registration number is ZB948280.
10. 💬 Complaints & Feedback
If you have concerns about our work together, I invite you to speak to me directly. I welcome feedback and aim to resolve concerns with openness and care.
I’m registered with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and follow their Ethical Framework. If needed, you can also contact the BACP: 🔗www.bacp.co.uk/about-us/protecting-the-public/complaints/
My BACP registration number is 407049
11. ✅ Agreement
By signing and returning the counselling agreement, you agree to these terms. You’re always welcome to ask questions, request adjustments, or discuss anything that feels unclear.
This is your space. Thank you for trusting me with it.
